The corn also known as glass gem corn was produced by a native American in Oklahoma, USA. The Farmer used to find some unusual colours of corn in a cob, so he gathered colourful ears to breed over the years which produced a corn displaying dozens of colours on a cob.
Before he passed away, he passed down his seed collection and breeding skills to his friend Greg schoen who later gave it to Bill mcdorman, a small seed company in Arizona.
More of the cobs were produced and it caught a lot of attention. The corn are usually sold out and they are used to make flour and popcorn, although it is not recommended to eat it straight off the cob.
