MERRY-GO-ROUND IN RURAL GHANA HELPS GENERATE ELECTRICITY.

In rural Ghana, playtime means generating enough electricity to power classrooms and lanterns at home, thanks to Ben Markham, a retired engineer at research and engineering in ExxonMobil.
Created in 2007, he founded 'Empower playgrounds', a public charity venture that installs playground equipment in rural areas.
These merry-go-rounds charges LED lanterns for up to 40 hours of bulb. Best of all, one lantern can last up to 5 years. Talk about long term sustainable electricity solution. Please bring to Naija.
